Ten Cute Pics of my Kid

I suppose sometimes I’m too serious.

Like when I’m writing about rain, politics, or evil bearded men who commit mass murder.

So this week I’m gonna kick back and share ten pics of my son, the G Man, who accidentally inspires everything I do.

Halloween 2016

Apparently while journeying through Hyrule to stop the evil Ganondorf, Link lost his shoes.

At least he’s got the ‘just beat a boss’ pose down.

We loooooove our Mexican food.

And our sombreros.

At the time this picture was taken, neither one of us had shaven for a week.

True story.

Ren Fest 2015

He said he wanted a turkey leg for himself.

I scoffed.

He took one bite of the turkey leg and then ate all my fries.

Somehow our friendship survived.

It was a late, late night at my house. Guests were over, and G man wanted to be a part of the action.

So…

We played ‘Water Pong.’

And then he dropped the hottest death metal album of all time.

Circa – Two years old

While making a play on the ladies, G Man slung some Mardi Gras beads over his neck and whipped out his shades.

You and I wish our game was this good.

I don’t have anything snappy to say about this one.

It’s his first fully carved pumpkin ever.

His smile is matched only by the pumpkin’s stem. ***

One thing you should never ever allow…

G Man and his dad alone at Target in the Halloween costume section.

Just sayin’.

First, that’s the longest his hair has ever been. Damn hippie.

And second, we took this picture immediately after word of the Tom Brady/Deflategate scandal broke. We actually did an entire series of football-killing photos.

This one was my favorite.

Speaking of football, we’re huge mildly disinterested Chicago Bears’ fans.

This is the G Man doing his best to impersonate Jay Cutler’s permanent facial expression.

Hollywood beware.

Single dad life means not too many chances to get actual ‘nice’ pics of me and the boy together.

Especially since we thumb our noses at selfies.

But…

We managed to capture this one.

I don’t even remember where it was taken.

Oh well…

Next week I’ll get right back to the dark stuff, I promise.

Oh…

Speaking of my kid, he painted the cover for this book.

And his teddy bear inspired the teddy in this one.
